BREAKING NEWS: Have you ever heard of « Heli-ski »?

This new phenomenon is becoming more and more fashion each year.

The concept is quite simple. Instead of spending half of your time on chair lifts when you go to ski, this is a helicopter which brings you to the peak of the mountain. This is the end of the line-up; your downhill will take you all your afternoon!
Moreover, you will not ski on slopes, but in fresh and pure powder snow. For your security, you will be accompanied by professionals who know the right path.
The regions which are the most famous for this new way of skiing are probably Canana and Kamchatka. However, you can also find heliski services in Europe like in the Alpes at the border between France and Switzerland. The prices are very different depending on the place you choose. For example, it is less expensive in Europe than in Kamchatka but downhills are smaller.

Imagine yourself at the peak of a mountain, with gorgeous landscapes and a wide white valley which is waiting for you. It is one of the greatest experiences you can have. If you are a ski addict, you will enjoy heliskiing, for sure!

You can find a lot of video on the internet which will show you what you can expect of such experience.

Tell us what you think of this new sport!

  1. I've never heard about this sport, and I'm not a "ski addict", but I think this new concept can give a lot of sensations!
It can be very interessting for sensation's lovers, and sensations might be like parachute jumping or bungee jumping ! And even if I don't like Ski so much, Heli-ski seems to be really funny !

  4. Hello!

I would say that it depends on the place you want to go,
for example, in Chamonix, the price is about 300€ per person per day. If you want to go to Canada, the price is between 7 000€ and 9 000€ per person per week.
